Special Education Teacher

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct evaluations to assess students cognitive, social-emotional, and behavioral needs.
• Develop and implement personalized Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) to support student success.
• Provide support to students facing academic, social, or behavioral challenges.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and staff to design effective interventions.
• Work closely with families to share resources and strategies for student growth.
• Contribute to initiatives that promote a positive and inclusive school environment.
• Stay informed about current trends and best practices in special education.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field.
• Active Ohioteaching certification with a focus on special education.
• At least two years of professional experience working in special education.
• Expertise in creating and managing IEPs tailored to individual needs.
• Strong understanding of assessment and intervention strategies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• A dedication to empowering students and fostering their potential.
