See the Benefits home page for more information.Position SummaryUNM-Taos' Health Sciences Department invites applicants living in New Mexico to apply for Temporary Part time Faculty positions (Adjunct) to teach a lower division course in PBT 101- Phlebotomy Technician.This posting is for both face to face and remote delivery of courses.These positions will be hired on an as needed basis dependent on student enrollment, course offering matrix, and graduation requirements.The specific courses include, but are not limited to, the following:PBT 101 - Phlebotomy Technician (8) This course prepares students for American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) Certified Phlebotomy Technician (PBT) certification. Successful completion of an apprenticeship at a clinical worksite is required. 8.000 Credit hours 8.000 Lecture hoursPBT 102L - Certified Phlebotomy Technician Clinical (4) Clinical apprenticeship program for PBT 101L. Successful completion required for credit in PBT 101L. Corequisite: PBT 101L. 4.000 Credit hours 4.000 Lab hoursMeets New Mexico General Education Curriculum QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:To teach or develop coursesin the field or subfield for which you are applying are determined by HigherLearning Commission's accreditation requirements for faculty, and must be metin these ways:Current New Mexicoand/or National Phlebotomy Certification.Completed15 college credit hours in health science related coursesPreferred Qualifications:Associate or Bachelor degree in health sciences or relatedfield At least three years experience as aphlebotomist. Knowledge of education methods as well as current certificationprocedures Teaching experience in a post-secondary institution, particularlycommunity college experience.
